My Friday at the zoo

I spent yesterday with my good friend Caitlin's niece. Taylor was visiting Caitlin from Ohio. Friday, Caitlin had a meeting all day so I took Taylor to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia. We had a blast! We saw all kinds of animals, and Taylor had a blast. She was running from animal to animal and I could barely see what we were looking at! Below is a picture of our favorite animal. This little cub was curled up on the bottom of his little enclosure. He was so cute!

Every time we saw a bronze statue of an animal, Taylor had to have her picture taken. This particular picture was taken by a nice couple who had taken their three grandchildren to the zoo that day. Here we are sitting on a tiger!

Here is Taylor on the merry-go-round. Taylor is a very energetic girl. Caitlin is always telling her to sit still or quit screaming. Well, that same couple that took our picture put two of their grandsons on the merry-go-round at the same time Taylor was on it. You can't see them in the picture below, but they sat right behing Taylor. And they were SCREAMING. I should say shreeking. It was the loudest, highest pitched thing I've ever heard. But they would only do it when their side of the merry-go-round was away from me and their grandparents. Well, everytime the kids came back around, Taylor had her hand covering her mouth. I thought she wasn't feeling well or something. Finally she yells out "Not me! That's not me screaming!" I laughed. Obviously Taylor is well aware of her ability to be extremely loud!

Isn't she precious? Someone said "Your daughter is so cute." I didn't know whether I should have been offended since I don't think I look old enough to have a 7 year old daughter, or if I should have been proud! Because she really is cute!

And she LOVED driving down Taylor street. At first she didn't believe me when I told her it was Taylor Street!
Then we finished up with an afternoon at the pool.
