I would like to extend a big, huge thank you to my friend at Pink Is My Signature Color for the wonderful surprise she left me this morning! I blog because I enjoy writing. And while I don't (obviously) post the most personal things on this blog, you'd be amazed at the inspiration and good feelings I get when I read other peoples blogs. It seems like sometimes when I'm feeling down (because depsite the title, sometimes one is a little lonely) I read a post from someone and it seems to really hit home.
My surprise this morning was an award!
The award states: "These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."
So I will be passing on this award to eight of my favorite blogs:
1. Red and White Preppy
2. Anne Says So
3. The Columbia Fam
4. So Happily Us
5. Maters and Melons
6. Stand By Me
7. Pink, Green, and Southern
8. Seminole Family
These people make me happy! Now these eight bloggers have to find eight other bloggers to award!
And, the problem I'm having right now is getting the picture of the award to show up. Maybe because I am blogging from school and thoroughly enjoying the silence as my kids take their exams. But not to worry. I'll fix the problem on my home computer this afternoon so that you all can have your award to post on your blog! Check back tonight so you can actually claim the award!
In additon to copying the award from PIMSC, I am also copying something else she's written:
"God would not have closed the door if He didn't have something better planned."
I believe that all too often we get caught up in our lives and forget that everything happens for a reason. People come in and out of our lives all the time. The reason is not always immediately clear, but there is one. Sometimes it takes longer than we'd like to figure it out, but we will eventually. Sometimes it's just a matter of being patient and having a little faith that everything always works out the way it was meant to.
Thank you very much, PIMSC, for both the award and some words of encouragement!
