FIVE MORE DAYS

So hard to believe, but we only have five more school days left. I can't wait to be done for the summer......though I certainly won't be having the summer off. It is already packed with conferences and classes and meetings. But, any day with no students is a holiday as far as I am concerned. Fellow teachers, I am sure you can echo my sentiments. I'd almost work 365 days a year with no students around. Almost. They might have to increase my pay.

I would also like to say Happy Birthday to my sister Alston, the one that left me for Charleston. Her birthday was yesterday. She will probably not like these pictures, but I do! She doesn't like any of the picutres she takes. But I think these two are cute!

To celebrate, we cooked hamburgers on the grill....actually, we didn't. Richard did. Remember him? Dad's BFF? The one who was going to handle my unwelcome squatter in the wall? Well, if you remember that post, then you remember that I said Richard can do anything. This includes grilling up an awfully good hamburger. Weisman, it might give yours a run for your money. Maybe not though. Weisman Burgers have a pretty faithful following! Often replicated, never fully duplicated!

Well, Richard is so good at the things he does that he amazingly handled the squirrel situation WITHOUT EVEN COMING OVER! Hard to believe, I know! But all I had to do was talk to him about it, and they never made another peep in the wall. Nor has the mouse shown back up. It must be because the mere mention of the name "Richard" instills a sense of paralyzing fear in the hearts of vermin. Their four little knees were surely trembling away. They wisely sought refuge elsewhere when they caught wind that Richard would be stopping by. Thanks, Richard!!
