Makes me extremely nervous. Why? Because the only thing worse than looking out your window and seeing the worlds biggest spider sitting in it's gross little, scratch that, huge web every day is coming home to NOT see the spider there! A spider on the move is a bad, bad thing. Creeps me out.
In other news, NC State sure pulled off a win. What a game! I know my Wolfpack blogging buddies were tuned in. Or probably there. Not sure if y'all go to the games or not! I have to say I was a little disappointed for ECU because one of my old students plays for them! He's a freshman, and I am sure he was disappointed. But it was a great game to watch!
I stayed here and watched the USC game with some friends. Turned out to be a much longer night than I planned, but it was a lot of fun.
This weekend we are making the trip to Clemson for the Maryland game. That should be fun. But a noon kickoff sort of throws a wrench in it. I prefer a 3:30! Oh well! Mimosas all morning!
In non-football goings-on, my assistant principal asked me today to go to a conference....this FRIDAY! Hell yeah! I was pumped! And the best part is that it's in Anderson! So I plan to just stay up there and start my weekend as early as I can. Hopefully someone will be up there mid-afternoon Friday! Well, I guess I just made this section football related.
In real non-football related issues, I am so sad to say that my parents dog died this morning. It's the dog that they've had since I was in high school. So I was crushed to find out. His name was Blue and he was a weimaraner. This is not him, but he looked just like this.
Poor guy. My parents live out in the country and Blue and his BFF, Edisto the black lab, were off in the woods Saturday chasing something and barking. Sunday he was really lethargic and was kind of shaking. We decided he'd have to go to the vet if he didn't get better. This morning, my mom said she walked outside to check on him and he just wasn't better. Richard was over remodeling the kitchen, putting in a new stove. (Remember Richard...Dad's BFF? I wasn't kidding when I said he can do anything!) So my mom told Richard that she thought Blue needed to go to the vet and she went in to call. When she came back out, he was gone. Irie, my sister's little mini daschund, was barking at Blue, maybe trying to wake him up or just let everyone know something was wrong. So Richard buried Blue in the woods. We are so sad! Losing a pet is hard! Especially when they've been around for so long.

I am so sorry to hear about your parents' dog :( I know just how sad that is.
YES about our game!!! I wasn't there because I had to work at the boutique where I worked over the summer, but that's actually a good thing because we never win when I go to big games. I don't dislike ECU (just some of the fans) because my dad went to grad school there and my mom went to undergrad there. A player from my former HS also scored the touchdown that put ECU up 14-7...I was so excited for him. Sadly, we've lost our best defensive player and our QB for this Saturday's game against South Florida. Oh, the woes of a State fan!
Glad you had a good weekend :) Be sure to enter my lil giveaway!
Sorry to hear about Blue.
"Your my boy Blue"
so sorry!
