And the winner has got to be....

The Freshmen! At least for lunchtime activities. But they won't officially announce it until Friday morning at the pep rally. Keep your fingers crossed!

As you all know, this is homecoming week. Each class is given a theme day. Ours was today. So everyone dressed up in their best country get up. And, we also sponsored the lunchtime activity. Well, let me just say that we absolutely had to have blown it out of the water. Look at this....

We had the Chick-Fil-A cow come and play a vital roll in our lasso competition. And it was great. He danced up and down the courtyard while members from other classes tried to "lasso" him with a Hula-Hoop tied to some rope. It was a huge success. While the seniors won our little competition, they get no points towards the Homecoming competition. Now all we have to do is pray that the sophomores don't have something up their sleeve for their lunchtime activity tomorrow. I don't think we have much to worry about though. It's days like this that I realize how much I love my job and how much I feel like I'm in high school again......

In non-lunch related news, I had yet another twelve hour day today. We've been painting the big class banner for hours each night. We are up to ten hours invested in this thing just this week alone. But it's looking great. Here's the Cavalier head....

They've worked so hard and I am so proud of them! But wait until you hear about what happened today at school......it deserves it's own post.

Let me just say, Thank You. It's the teachers like you that these crazy kids need. You're willing to put in a ton of time and energy. Many teachers who just go through the motions aren't "real" teachers, but someone like you who shows how much she cares REALLY is a great one :)

Hope the freshmen win! :)

By the way, there will never be a better freshman at RNE than the class of 1997. Check the record books, first ever freshman class to win a pep rally. Go Cavs!
