This is a hard one to post.

I am sad to say that we lost a dear faculty member last night. You can read about it here.
It's hard to express how much he will be missed here. He was hugely popular with the students.
The students showed a beautiful slide show this morning on the announcements. I thought I could hold it in, but I cried and cried. My first class is of freshmen and they, obviously, hadn't had the chance to work with him. But they were very respectful. It's a sad day here.

** Update - if you are local, tune into WLTX at 6:00 pm tonight. They came out to my school today and filmed a tribute to our friend.
